The Society for Imaging Science and Technology

The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) keeps its members informed of the latest advances in digital imaging through the development of journals, newsletters, conferences and seminars. IS&T's team felt that their online presence, imaging.org, was static and outdated, and in need of a re-energized look and feel — especially with an important board meeting fast approaching. IS&T engaged Global Thinking, with whom they already enjoyed a very successful print marketing partnership, to execute the redesign project.

Over the course of several rounds of review and revision, we hit upon a look and feel that struck the optimal balance between form and function, taking into careful consideration the client's desire to reinforce their cutting-edge reputation while also providing an efficient means by which to direct users to important information.

The project was so successful that IS&T has asked Global Thinking to partner with them in a second phase of the project, involving web development, content migration, and CMS integration. IS&T uses the iMIS software system; Global Thinking has been tasked with updating the site infrastructure to streamline it and make it more efficient while also remaining compatible with iMIS.
