The Position
This position offers a great opportunity for a new hire to lead design projects from day one.  Our business is growing fast so we are looking for candidates with a wide range of skills who will thrive in a demanding environment.
The Designer will be responsible for developing sophisticated web sites as well as compelling print collateral.
Requirements
- Expertise in creating mood boards, concept sketches and design comps
- Expertise in converting comps into final designs
- Strong copy editing ability
- Fantastic communication skills

Designer - Web + Print

Location: Alexandria, VA

The Position

Global Thinking offers a unique environment for talented designers looking to work across print and digital media. 

On a typical day, you might be working on a web site in the morning and a book design in the afternoon.  Often our projects combine digital and print components as part of a single stream of communication.  Plus, we own a printing company, so you'd get to learn how the production process works first hand and see the results of your work in real-time.

Our business is growing fast, so we are looking for candidates with a wide range of skills who will thrive in a demanding environment. We're big enough to give you lots of room to grow, but small enough so you'll have the opportunity to lead projects from day one.  

Requirements

  • Two years of post-collegiate work experience
  • BFA, MFA or equivalent work experience
  • A great portfolio

Qualifications

  • Expertise in creating concept sketches and design comps
  • Expertise in converting comps into final designs
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Strong self-management skills
